7 Consumer Tips

7 easy Tips on helping consumers choose the right snow removal service provider for commercial and residential properties.

  1.  Are they a reputable and experienced business providing snow removal services?

  2.  Do they have insurance, WCB, and a service agreement that protects you? Did you know there are a lot of service providers out there that do not have snow removal service insurance? They have liability insurance for their main source of work or business but not for snow removal.  If they have to put a claim for an accident relating to snow removal, their insurance company could refuse the claim, leaving you, the consumer, completely legally liable. This could cost you thousands of dollars, time, and stress.

  3. Do they have a business license?

  4. Do they have snow removal equipment?

  5. Do they provide a service agreement with the service they promise and when they will perform the work with all that is agreed upon for the snow removal needs you require?

  6. Do they have a main office support and management team ensuring quality control?

  7. Are they working with a team or by themself? If they are working by themself, what happens if they get sick or injured? Where does that leave you on a snow day?
