Here We Snow Again!

The snow stopped at 3 am today. All crews will begin clearing all properties this morning. All properties will be completed within the 24 bylaw hours following the end of snowfall completion for accumulations of 1 cm or more.

Important Service Reminders

As outlined in our Residential Standard Seasonal Discount and monthly Service Agreement (all customers completed prior to obtaining our service):

• Snow is cleared within 24 bylaw hours after a snowfall of 1 cm accumulation or more, measured once the snowfall has completely stopped. This is 33 regular hours due to the bylaw hours stoppages from 10 pm to 7 am daily.

• Any snowfall less than 1 cm is the homeowner’s responsibility to clear. If left uncleared, this may result in ice buildup and ongoing safety concerns.

• We strongly encourage homeowners to clear smaller snowfalls promptly to prevent long-term ice issues.

Ice Melt & Ice Management

• All customers are responsible for providing ice melt and leaving it on their front steps as noted in our service agreement.

• When our crews are on-site for snow clearing, they will apply your ice melt as a courtesy.

• Between qualifying snowfalls, homeowners are encouraged to apply ice melt as needed.

• Our snow-clearing service does not include ice management.

Ice Management Services are available on non-snowfall days for an additional cost.

Understanding the 24-bylaw hours Window

Example:
If a snowfall of 1 cm or more stops at 8:00 a.m.:

• Crews may operate until 10:00 p.m. (which is 14 hours).

• A bylaw shutdown occurs from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• Crews resume the next day at 7:00 a.m. and have the remaining 10 hours, completing service by 5:00 p.m., under normal road and weather conditions.

Priority Snow Clearing Service

If you prefer faster service, we offer a Priority Snow Clearing Service, guaranteeing snow removal within 5 hours of snowfall completion.

This service is available at a higher rate due to limited property capacity and property volume.

Important Note for New or Late-Season Customers

If you are booking our service after the season has already started, which is November 01, and your property has not been maintained to standard before our snow removal service commences, an initial one-time clearing or ice management service to bare concrete may be required on a non-snowfall day.

• Rate: $49 per hour

• Minimum: 2-hour charge

If you choose not to proceed with this one-time clearing or our ice management service, we can clear fresh snowfall only, down to the existing ice. Over time, the ice may reduce as snow is regularly removed and ice melt is applied; however, this process can take some time.
